Terms of use

These terms apply when you visit or use SmartMarket AI. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms and the Privacy policy.

1. Our role

SmartMarket AI connects buyers and sellers of used tech. We are neither the buyer nor the seller; we do not own, inspect or hold any goods, and we take no part in payment or delivery. Each deal is an agreement directly between buyer and seller.

2. Accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian.
• Your sign-up details must be accurate. Use only your own account and keep your password safe.
• You are responsible for everything done under your account.

3. Listings

• Listings must describe the product, its condition and price truthfully, with real photos of that product.
• Do not list prohibited goods, counterfeits, goods of unknown origin or stolen goods, locked or reported-lost devices, pirated software, or content that is fraudulent, pornographic, violent or discriminatory.
• You keep the rights to your content and allow us to store, display, analyze (including with AI) and promote your listings on the service.
• We may hide or remove listings and suspend accounts that break these rules without notice.

4. AI features and reference information

• AI search results, match scores, translations, market price checks and inspection checklists are generated automatically, for reference only, and may be wrong. Check the product yourself before buying.
• Listings from other marketplaces belong to those sites. Prices converted to Philippine pesos are approximate. When you follow a link you leave SmartMarket AI and that site's own terms apply.

5. Staying safe

• Meet in a public place and check the product carefully before paying.
• Never send a deposit to a stranger, and never share one-time codes or passwords.
• Report suspicious listings or accounts to us at [email protected].

6. Prohibited behavior

• Spam, harassment, or impersonating someone else or SmartMarket AI.
• Automated data collection (scraping), attacks, vulnerability scanning or getting around the service's rate limits.
• Using the service for anything illegal.

7. Limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for the quality or legality of goods, the truthfulness of listings, or losses arising from deals between users. In a dispute, we will help by providing relevant information as far as the law allows.

8. Complaints and disputes

Send complaints to [email protected] with a link to the listing and a description of what happened. Disputes are first settled by negotiation; failing that, by the proper courts of the Philippines.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms and will post a notice on the site when we do. Continuing to use the service after an update means you accept the new terms.
